Sewaktu LR dapat tahu Sara and the gang berjaya bawa masuk purikura ke Fahrenheit 88, LR rasa eee… bestnya! Akhirnya, purikura sekali lagi menakluki salah satu lokasi paling “panas” di segi tiga emas Kuala Lumpur, (macam over jer… lol). Kami juga telah menguar-uarkan lokasi terbaru di Kawaii Pix.

It's our last day at work before our long break for CNY (for non Malaysian's sake, its an abbreviation for "Chinese New Year").

Since LR hasn't tried the new purikura machine that just arrived in MetroPrima mall, so we decided to go there to take some photos. (Yes, lots of makeover happening in our locations currently)

Mero-Mero First Visit

Baru-baru ini, Sara & LR berkesempatan ke AEON Metro Prima (Kepong) & AEON Rawang bagi melihat sendiri our newest purikura *Mero-Mero* seperti yang pernah diberitahu oleh Sara dalam entry yang lepas. 

Recently, Sara and LR went to AEON Metro Prima (Kepong) & AEON Rawang to check out our latest arrival – Mero Mero (XOXO), just like the one Sara was talking about here.

Memandangkan Mero-Mero tidak terdapat di tengah ibu kota Kuala Lumpur (KL), makanya kami terpaksa menapak jauh dari KL menuju ke Kepong dan Rawang.

Ber-Purikura di Mid Valley

Sabtu lepas, 5hb Okt. LR, adik dan mak keluar jalan-jalan kat Mid Valley. 

Singgah sekejap kat AEON Molly Fantasy, tingkat 1 Mid Valley.  Melawat kawasan. Sambil-sambil melawat, leh main Purikura. Wihuuu…

Sesudah  sampai, LR terkujat. Mai aiii, ramainya orang. Tak pernah kulihat indoor playground yang se-crowded ini.

Tanpa berlengah, LR cepat-cepat beli token. Kalau lambat, nanti kena beratur panjang. Jenuh nak menunggu.

Lepas beli token, kami pun menapak ke Purikura. Boleh tahan… ramai juga yang guna Purikura. Majoriti budak perempuan sekolah menengah.

Purikura is not dead yet!

Siapa yang cakap Purikura dah mati ni? d3vilhearts yang cakap.  Bagi menangkis dakwaan  itu, LR nak beritahu… purikura belum mati lagi la amoi. Purikura baru nak bloom kat Malaysia ni.

Haiyaa… amoi, kami (Purikura) masih ada

Apa? Korang masih tak tahu apa kejadahnya Purikura ni. Korang cek la sendiri kat sini. 

Sebab apa LR cakap Purikura baru nak bloom. Sebab kami ni Purikura expert-lah (tolong cakap bagi pihak yang dah expert). Kenapa LR cakap expert? Sebab kami pasarkan the latest invention of Purikura-lah (tolong cakap bagi pihak yang memasarkan).  Kami tak ada barang yang cikai lauya punya. Ini semua barang baik punya.

Client kami? Semua besar-besar punya (promote jap), itu AEON Fantasy.

Besau an client kami. Ha… kebesauan anda, keutamaan kami. So korang tak perlu risau kalo barang lauya, gambar tak cantik sebab kualitas memang terjamin baik! 

Dengan adanya official fanpage Kawaii Pix, membuktikan bahawa Purikura kat Malaysia ni tiada pupusnya-pun. Tapi baru nak meletop-letop. LR nak jawab

Ha... amek kau title syok sendiri. Well, memang LR ni suka menjawab. Bak kata mak, “keje asyik nak menjawab cakap orang tua jer”.  Hihi, nak buat macam mana mak. Dah anak mak ni loyar buruk. Menjawab je la kejenya. Tapi LR menjawab cara halus la, bukan cara kasar tau. Bergurau senda, bermanja rela. Tak baik derhaka dengan mak kan. Nanti hidup tak berkat. Ingat tu!

Erm... baru-baru ni, LR tak tahu nak buat apa. Jenuh LR cari idea nak menulis. Tapi agaknya waktu tu sel-sel otak LR gagal berhubung, so ku cari-cari idea... tak juga datang-datang. Tersumbat dan bersawang.

Jadi, LR buat satu short survey dalam laman sosial fesbuk ni. Saja nak tahu pendapat orang tentang Purikura. So, LR post status dan tanyalah apa yang patut.

Percubaan Pertama Purikura

Greetings! Nama saya Lina Rose (LR), penulis kedua dalam blog ni. Khusus dalam penulisan Bahasa Melayu. Hari ni merupakan hari ke-3 LR bekerja di Kaga Amusement (M) Sdn Bhd. Diberi tugasan sebagai penyumbang di blog ini. And of course, I feel so excited cuz dah lama tak meroyan dalam bidang penulisan ni. Speaking MangLish-lah pulak kan. Suka hati I nyah. Haha. 

Hari ke-2 bekerja, LR sempat join event MYC! FRESHFACES SEARCH 2013 di Berjaya Times Square. Dianjurkan oleh MYC! magazine pada 18 September lalu.

Sarawak - where adventure lives...

The first thing I thought about when I heard about our purikura territory expansion to Sarawak - will there be lots of kucing (cat) taking purikura? Maybe lots of cat lovers will be taking their kawaii portraits with their kawaii kucing? Will there be lots of Maruchan there? ...ok, ok, ok, my mind doesn't stop at one first thought and I got to admit this - I have a wild imagination and yes, I have never been to Sarawak until now. Since Kuching is the city we'll be heading to and the only famous place I have known about is the one and only kind of Cat Museum in the world, so my mind decided to create the whole Cat only idea about Kuching.

 After checking out more about Sarawak (thanks to Sarawak Tourism website), I finally broaden my knowledge about my beloved country's largest state. Now I know that Sarawak is the rainforest city where every adventure enthusiast around the world must go destination. Though Kuching is Sarawak main city, their buildings are surrounded by greenery. Wish we get the same here in Kuala Lumpur...

However, beyond the outdoor adventure lays another new adventure which will soon be hitting in Sarawak. I'm talking about the Kawaii fever.

Our first batch of purikura for Kuching has arrived and ready for you fashionistas in two different shopping malls.

City One Megamall is up and running strong though it is still not fully occupied yet and the people there are loving purikura. (^U^)

Summer Mall is scheduled to be opened this year. I heard that they are building a water theme park there. Looks like there's going to be a theme park adventure added on the list.

Malacca - a city where all begin...

Long long time ago, there was a prince from Palembang named Parameswara, who is both ambitious and courageous. He was out hunting on a one fine day when he saw one of his hunting dog was kick by a small mouse-deer (known as "Pelanduk" in Malay). This small creature's bravery impressed him and he thought, "this must be a sign from God that this place shall be my new kingdom". He decided to name the place "Melaka", after the tree where the mouse-deer bravely kicked and killed his hunting dog, and from then, Malaysia's first state was founded. It was 1400.

Two mouse-deers and Melaka tree are the symbols of Malacca state logo today.

Since her first founder, Malacca has gone through a lot of different culture influence from both West and East. Malacca has been declared by UNESCO as part of the World Heritage List, alongside with Penang's George Town. She is another tourist destination hot spot in Malaysia.

Since setting up our business in Malaysia, we are not only working, but we get to learn and understand Malaysia's culture and history more. Malacca is the very first role model that shows multicultural people living harmoniously since more than 500 years ago. We are proud to be part of this culture in Malaysia.

Penang – Pearl of the Orient

Penang is one of the most well known tourist destinations in Malaysia. Its rich culture with a unique blend of urban and tradition has attracted the world to come and visit. On top of that, you can find so many different cultures in Penang, which is why people from different background who are living or just merely visiting there felt Penang is like their second home.

Penang has become the Japanese go-to city as their second home plan because of the all year round consistently nice weather, the food and the friendly society. No wonder the Penang Japanese Association is still going strong after more than 30 years of establishment.

The Penangites (this is what the people who were born in Penang called themselves) have a year long planning on different Japanese activities, such as this year’s upcoming BonOdori Festival, Culture Japan Festival and 10^th Japanese Film Festival.

Currently, to cater more Japanese culture to Penangites, the number of FEC (Family Entertainment Centre) has increased with more amusement machines brought in from Japan. Here, we are proud to introduce purikura to the Penangites. Afterall, forgetting to introduce Kawaii to them makes their Japanese culture knowledge incomplete you know.

Spreading the Kawaii to Malaysians

What is the first thing that pops in your mind when you hear the word Japanese?

Kawaii (cute)!

That’s right, almost every cutesie thing that makes the Malaysian girls go insane is from Japan. Famous kawaii characters such as Hello Kitty, Maruchan, Pikachu, TarePanda and many more are no strangers in Malaysia. However, Kawaii does not limit to cute consumer goods, but beauty as well. The kawaii standard for beauty is big round eyes and flawless fair skin which not many people are born with it. However, since cuteness is the core motivation to the Japanese creative innovation, we all can now have this irresistible kawaii beauty through “Purikura”.

Purikura, a short Japanese pronunciation for print club which is also known as photo machine. The play is simple, you just need to go into the booth, strike your cutesie pose while the camera and lights do their wonders, then scribble your pictures with all the cute icons and letters, and then collect your photo printed on photo paper sticker. Your beauty is instantly transformed into Kawaii beauty in the photo.

Of course, every kawaii obsessed girl is familiar with purikura, however, it is not easy to spot purikura in Malaysia in the past years. We have heard this problem and are determined to solve this problem. We want to make sure all major shopping centers in Malaysia have at least one purikura accessible to everybody who wants to be kawaii.

Today, we have installed 58 units purikura in all around Malaysia and still counting.

We want to make sure all of you in Malaysia have the place close to you to unleash your kawaii-ness, therefore we are working hard to put more purikura in more locations.

Kawaii is not limiting to girls, it’s for all peace loving people regardless of age, gender, race, religion culture etc (hey, that sounds like you, Malaysians!). So let’s spread the Kawaii in Malaysia today!
